Fleece Coolant Bypass Kit for 2013-2018 Ram 6.7L Cummins

FPEFPE-CLNTBYPS-CUMMINS-1318

Every 2013-2018 6.7L should have the coolant bypass. Put it near the top of the list.

The rear cylinders on the 6.7L get less coolant flow and run the hottest, which builds pressure that can blow out freeze plugs on the block or under the valve cover. Fleece's bypass adds a secondary thermostat that, unlike other brands, works on temperature instead of excessive pressure, keeping all six cylinders even. It integrates for an OE fit-and-finish.

Benefits

  • Lowers coolant temperature at the rear cylinders
  • Ensures consistent temperatures across all six cylinders
  • Prevents damaging coolant pressure build up
  • Secondary thermostat that works on temperature, not excessive pressure
  • Braided hose and AN O-ring fittings for a leak-free install

Kit includes

  • Rear coolant bypass thermostat housing
  • Front coolant bypass thermostat housing
  • New EGR cross-over tube gaskets
  • Black braided nylon coolant bypass hose with protective high temperature sleeve and AN fittings
  • Mounting hardware

Specs

  • Engine: 2013-2018 6.7L Cummins
  • Part number: FPE-CLNTBYPS-CUMMINS-1318
  • CARB EO: D-834-7

Why we run it

Freeze plugs and rear cylinder heat are the 6.7L's weak spot when you tow, and this bypass takes care of both. A second thermostat that works on temperature gets coolant to the back of the block, keeps all six cylinders even and keeps pressure from building, with an OE style fit. PPEI recommends the Fleece bypass, and we run it on our own 6.7L trucks.
