Fleece Coolant Bypass Kit for 2007.5-2012 Dodge/Ram 6.7L Cummins

If you own a 2007.5-2012 6.7L and tow, the coolant bypass is the fix you want.

The rear cylinders on the 6.7L Cummins get less coolant flow and run the hottest. That builds pressure, especially at the rear of the block, and can blow out freeze plugs on the outside or the smaller plugs under the valve cover. Fleece's bypass adds a secondary thermostat that, unlike other brands, opens on temperature instead of excessive pressure, keeping all six cylinders even. It integrates for an OE fit-and-finish.

Why we run it

The back of a 6.7L runs hotter than the front, and this kit fixes that. Fleece's temperature based thermostat gets more coolant to the rear cylinders, keeps all six even and stops pressure from building, with an OE style fit and finish. It keeps the back of the engine as cool as the front when you tow. PPEI recommends the Fleece bypass on the 6.7L, and we run it on our own trucks.
