Stainless braided line for the coolant bypass on your 2006-2007 5.9L auto? This is the kit.

The bypass tackles the Cummins rear cylinder heat problem. Those cylinders get less coolant flow, run hottest, and build the kind of pressure that pushes out freeze plugs on the block or under the valve cover. Fleece's secondary thermostat works on temperature, unlike other brands that rely on excessive pressure, and keeps all six cylinders even.

Note: The 2003 - 2007 5.9L automatic transmission version will eliminate the factory transmission fluid heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is designed for use in cold climates to warm the transmission fluid with the engine coolant.

Why we run it

If your 5.9L works for a living, this is cheap insurance against the rear cylinder heat that blows freeze plugs. The secondary thermostat opens on temperature, keeps all six cylinders at the same temp and stops pressure from building in the back of the block. Stainless braided line makes it a leak-free install that looks right under the hood. PPEI recommends this upgrade, and we run Fleece bypass kits on our own trucks.
