This one-time upgrade converts your factory Transmission Control Module (TCM) into a fully tunable powerhouse, allowing diagnostics, custom calibration, and data logging directly through your OBDII port using HP Tuners' VCM Suite BETA software.

This is a send-in service which means you must first send us your original TCM. Please read this page in its entirety before purchasing.

How It Works:

  • Prepare and Purchase: First, verify your vehicle's compatibility with this upgrade. Once confirmed, buy the service. Ensure you already own an MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface. If you're new to HP Tuners, we recommend purchasing a brand-new MPVI4 to get started.
  • Gather Shipping Info: After placing your order and providing any required details, head to the "Shipping" tab on the product page for the shipping form and address. Fill it out, print it, and include it in your package. You'll also get an immediate email confirmation with the same form and address for your convenience.
  • Remove and Package the TCM: Carefully remove the TCM from your vehicle and pack it securely. Include the completed shipping form inside the box.
  • Label the Box: Clearly write your order number on the outside of the shipping box for easy identification.
  • Ship to HP Tuners: Send your packaged TCM to the provided shipping address using your preferred carrier. Note that all shipping costs are your responsibility.
  • Upgrade Process: HP Tuners will perform the upgrade and/or programming to enable full tuning and diagnostics, then ship the TCM back to you. Allow up to 7 business days for processing (not including shipping times).
  • Reinstall and Activate: Once you receive your upgraded TCM, reinstall it in your vehicle. Next, license it by purchasing 4 Universal Credits (sold separately). After licensing, connect to the latest version of VCM Scanner to read and clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) as a best practice. Then, you're ready to tune using your MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface and the latest VCM Suite BETA software.

  • Processing Time: Plan for up to 7 business days (plus your shipping time to us) per module once it arrives at HP Tuners. For example, if you're sending two modules (like an ECM and TCM), it could take up to 14 business days. This doesn't include the time for return shipping back to you.
  • Post-Purchase Steps: After buying the service, download and fill out the shipping form (click "PRINT SHIPPING FORM" on the product page or in your email). Place the printed form inside your shipping box, and make sure to write your order number visibly on the outside.
  • International Shipping Tips: If shipping from outside the US, check the "AVOID INTL TARIFF INSTRUCTIONS" PDF for guidance on using carriers like UPS, DHL, or FedEx to minimize or avoid tariff fees. US customers won't face tariff issues.
  • Hardware Orders: If you add any hardware (like interfaces) to this service order, it will ship back with your upgraded TCM. To get hardware faster and avoid delays, consider ordering it separately.
  • Shipping Costs: You're responsible for the cost of shipping your TCM to HP Tuners. The shipping fee at checkout only covers the return shipment of your upgraded module.

Important Service Notes:

  • No Spare TCM During Service: While your stock TCM is at HP Tuners for the upgrade, do not install and relearn a temporary spare TCM in your vehicle. Doing so will make your original (now upgraded) TCM incompatible upon return, potentially leaving your vehicle inoperable.
  • Tuning Requirements: Your upgraded T93 TCM can only be tuned through the OBDII port using an MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface and the latest VCM Suite BETA software. Older devices like MPVI2+ are not compatible with GM Global B vehicles.
  • Licensing Needed: After the upgrade, you'll need to license your TCM with 4 Universal Credits (available separately).
  • One-Time Upgrade with No Disruptions: This permanent unlock doesn't impact other TCM functions. Factory service tools will still work as usual, while HP Tuners tools enable custom tuning.
  • Post-Installation Tip: Once reinstalled, connect to the latest VCM Scanner first to read and clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for a smooth start.
  • Exclusive Tuning: Only HP Tuners tools can be used for calibration—no other tuning software or devices are compatible.
  • Diagnostics Unaffected: Tools like VCM Scanner, dealer diagnostics, and other standard scanners will continue to function normally.
  • Easy Reversion to Stock: Use the latest VCM Suite to switch back to your original stock calibration or update to the newest factory version anytime.

  • At Your Own Risk: This ECM/PCM/TCM upgrade service is performed entirely at the owner's risk. HP Tuners will not be held responsible for any issues related to your vehicle, its powertrain, electronics, or how the control module is used, calibrated, or functions after the upgrade.
  • Normal Wear and Tear: Due to the TCM's factory-installed location in the vehicle, it's common and expected for all TCMs to show signs of weathering and wear—this is perfectly normal and doesn't affect the upgrade.
  • Potential Dealer Visit: There's a possibility that after the service, your vehicle may need to be taken to a dealership for re-syncing. As the purchaser, you accept full liability and responsibility for any such requirements or related costs.
