Add Power, Improve Response, Monitor Vehicle

Banks all-new Derringer High Output tuner brings the 2024-25 Chevy/GMC Duramax 6.6L from 438 hp and 928 Ib-ft to a tire-shredding 519 hp and 1068 Ib-ft. The system provides a massive increase in torque across the working range of the engine. Merging, passing, and uphill climbs while towing are easier than ever.

Horsepower Gain

Even with the updated stock power figures for the 24+ models, Derringer puts down a best gain of +86 hp, pushing near 520 wheel hp to the road.

Torque Gain

Plus, the massive increase of +178 Ib-ft of torque is situated right in the heart of the power band where you need it most.

Power for every situation

Derringer features 6 power levels, each with a calibration engineered for a specific task. Unlike other tuners, you can change Derringer’s power levels as you drive, using the iDash Pro itself, or the Banks mobile app.

Level 1 — stock

Level 2 — fuel economy*

Levels 3-4 — work and heavy towing

Levels 5-6 — max power

All levels are safe to tow thanks to Derringer’s real-time monitoring of exhaust gas and coolant temperatures, transmission slip, and other data points.

*Fuel economy varies based on driving habits and payload.

Boost Control Where You Need It

Derringer provides a huge increase in torque across the working range of the engine between 2200 and 2800 RPM. We accomplish this by controlling midrange boost. Look at the yellow zone. Mid-range boost equals mid-range torque.

We’ve built 26,000 JLTV engines for the U.S. Army using the same tuning approach that we’re now applying to your Duramax. The midrange is where you work your truck.

Power You Can Use

Most interstate onramps are about 1,100 feet. This means you have only 1,100 feet to reach 70 mph. And, the heavier you tow, the harder this becomes. We loaded a Tacoma into a trailer and hitched it to our ‘24 Duramax. Gross vehicle weight was 20,065 pounds. The stock ‘24 Duramax took 1,279 feet to reach 70 mph. With the Derringer set to level 6 (max power), the rig reached 70 mph in just 1,085 feet.

Passing Power

The Derringer-tuned truck hit 70 mph 194 feet sooner than stock. It was safely merging with semis while the stock truck was still accelerating past the merging zone, fighting semis for a lane.

Climbing Power

Derringer's added power becomes even more pronounced when passing up a grade, while towing. Passing on the highway with a 20,065 lb GVW rig up a 7% grade, Derringer rocketed the truck from 45 mph to 70 mph a full 8.5 seconds quicker than stock.

Pushing on to 75 mph, the stock tune runs out of steam on the top end while Derringer continues to pull strong. The gap between stock and Banks widens to a full 12.41 seconds and nearly a quarter mile of separation.

TransCommand® Active Transmission Safety System

Derringer High Output is calibrated to modulate power during shifts for better clutch engagement. Thanks to its OBD connectivity, Derringer knows when the GM/Allison 10-speed transmission is shifting gears. It reduces its added power momentarily to allow for a smooth shift. Competitive tuners have no idea or simply ignore when the transmission is shifting and continue to add power, overspeeding the transmission and causing long-term damage.

Intelligent Shift Tuning — Gear shifts are optimized for each power level to protect the transmission and increase shift speed while protecting against torque converter and clutch slip.

Accelerator Pedal Monitoring — Rolls in additional power progressively, optimizing for both part-throttle fuel economy and maximum power when you want it.

Includes iDash Powertrain Information Center

Derringer includes iDash Pro, the most advanced iDash ever. The iDash Pro Powertrain Information Center is a microcomputer that allows you to monitor and record what’s actually going on under your hood, as well as control Derringer, PedalMonster, and more. The compact device blows away the capabilities of any OBD plug-in diagnostic device and offers more functionality than instruments 5X the price.

Monitor up to 8 gauges on 5 customizable screens. That's 40 gauges at the touch of a button. Quickly change gauges, layouts, colors, and pages via intuitive buttons or a tap or swipe on the mobile app. Connect up to 4 iDash Pros to see even more information at once. See what data iDash Pro can display for your vehicle.

Bluetooth App Makes It Easy

The Banks mobile app for Apple and Android makes setup, configuration, and updating the iDash Pro easier than ever.

Total Throttle Control

Unlike conventional cable throttles, where your pedal is directly attached to the engine’s butterfly valve, electronic accelerator pedals are not mapped linearly. Part throttle drivability is often dampened as a means to stretch fuel economy, giving a mushy and unresponsive feel when on the road.

We spent months engineering smooth pedal contours that are a pleasure to drive. Others like Pedal Commander, have crude steps, making your pedal feel like an on-off switch. Your transmission responds by hunting for gears.

Choose Your Control

PedalMonster can be used as a stand-alone device, controled by Banks' free mobile app for a stealthy install.

Pair the PedalMonster with an iDash Pro or Data Pro to be able to adjust pedal settings on the fly and open up a whole world of data not available on your vehicle’s dashboard. See what data iDash Pro can display for your vehicle.

With Bluetooth connectivity built in, new features and support for other vehicles can be added over-the air. No computer required.

Unique Safety Features

There are dozens of throttle controllers on the market, like Pedal Commander, Sprint Booster, iDrive, just to name a few. Each of them claims to be the most ADVANCED. As you see below, thanks to its OBD-II connectivity and patented safety features, no throttle controller compares to Banks’ patented PedalMonster.

Tune Your Sensitivity

Select from PedalMonster's 3 driving environments with a total of 150 unique throttle contours and tune out your pedal's dead spot.

City: Provides a smooth driving experience with a linear throttle feel and is tuned for daily driving.

Sport: Adds more sensitivity in the throttle midrange for a sportier throttle contour feel.

Track: Lets you get into your power sooner with less throttle input, helping push through turbo spool lag or delay.

OBD-II Connectivity Brings Safety

PedalMonster is the ONLY throttle sensitivity controller connected via the vehicle's +12 volt OBD-II port to read vehicle data. This reliable power connection and vehicle information is used to provide smooth pedal response and enhanced safety features.

Other 'Boost Commanders' draw power from the accelerator pedal circuit itself, potentially overloading the circuit and leading to a dead pedal and an inoperable engine.

Every other throttle controller device has no clue what vehicle you are in, how fast you are going, and is unable to adapt dynamically to driving conditions.
