Requirements

  1. Original ECM Only — You must send in the original CM2450B ECM from your vehicle. Spare or replacement ECMs will not be accepted.
  2. MPVI3 or MPVI4 Interface Required — MPVI2 and MPVI2+ devices are not compatible. Upgrade or purchase your MPVI3/MPVI4 here if needed.
  3. 2018+ Dodge Smart Access Cable — Required for communication (available separately).
  4. Universal Credits — Purchase 6 Universal Credits separately to license your upgraded ECM for tuning (credits are not included with this service).
  5. Latest VCM Suite BETA — Free download after purchase.

How It Works

  1. Confirm your vehicle’s compatibility and purchase the RAM CM2450B ECM Service through PPEI Tuning.
  2. After ordering, download and complete the HP Tuners shipping form (available under the Shipping tab or via email confirmation). Place the completed form inside your shipping box.
  3. Carefully remove your CM2450B ECM from the vehicle and package it securely.
  4. Clearly write your order number on the outside of the box.
  5. Ship your ECM to HP Tuners using your preferred carrier (customer is responsible for outbound shipping costs; return shipping is covered by the service fee).
  6. HP Tuners upgrades your ECM for full VCM Suite diagnostics and tuning support, then ships it back to you (processing time up to 10 business days once received, plus shipping — does not include return transit time).
  7. Reinstall the upgraded ECM in your vehicle. Purchase and apply 6 Universal Credits, connect with your MPVI3/MPVI4 and latest VCM Suite BETA, read/clear any DTCs, and begin tuning.

Important Service Notes

  • While your ECM is being serviced, do not install a spare ECM and perform a relearn — this will make your upgraded ECM incompatible upon return.
  • ECMs will show normal signs of weathering and wear from their factory location in the vehicle.
  • In some cases, the vehicle may require a dealer re-sync after reinstallation. The purchaser accepts all liability and responsibility for any such requirements.
  • Only HP Tuners tools can be used for calibration on the upgraded ECM. No other tuning software or devices are compatible.
  • Universal Credits and the required Smart Access Cable are sold separately.
  • Any additional hardware ordered with this service will ship with your upgraded ECM. For faster delivery of other items, place separate orders.
  • This is a send-in service — please read all instructions and disclaimers fully before purchasing.
