Extend your transmission life and increase your fuel economy with PPEI Transmission tuning! A MUST for tuned trucks with additional torque.

The refined shift points get rid of the low rpm “Lazy” feel these trucks have that force the driver to stab the throttle for a downshift – not cool and a fuel economy killer! For vehicles with larger turbochargers, ppei transmission tuning is a must to get the engine back into a rpm range to match the torque curve of the new turbo.

Along with the improved shift points, PPEI also refines the torque converter lockup strategy to put the power to the ground much more efficiently for improved fuel economy by eliminated unnecessary slip in the torque converter – which also drives down heat in typical “unlocked” conditions.

Lastly (and possibly the greatest benefit) is the increase in line pressure ppei provides. line pressure increases the holding capacity in the transmission by clamping the clutch packs together with more force – this allows tuned trucks (or trucks towing heavy) to have the confidence they need to enjoy their truck for years to come.

This tuning package can be installed using an EFILive AutoCal V2/3, FlashScan V2/3, HPTuners MPVI2/3 or EZ LYNK AutoAgent 2/3.

When flashing the 2019+ 68RFE transmissions, the flashing protocol also flashes the engine control module. If you have an engine calibration already installed prior to installing the PPEI Transmission Calibration, the PPEI TCM Calibration will include a stock engine calibration that will flash over any previous engine calibration. When flashing either module, you are also flashing both engine and transmission regardless. If you plan to reinstall your previous engine calibration after installing the PPEI transmission calibration, you will erase the PPEI transmission calibration when installing the engine calibration. The only way to install both engine and transmission calibrations together is to purchase both engine and transmission from the same calibrator.

Alot better that factory tune!!

Just installed the transmission tune on my 2021 Ram 2500 with the 68RFE transmission and the difference is unreal!! Finally this thing shifts like it should have from the factory.
It doesn't hunt in-between gears like it used to and the torque converter locks up alot faster. It also stays in gear longer when pulling a steep hill or heavier loads so you can use the low end power that the Cummins provides.
Installation is pretty straight forward with the exception of having to hack into your factory OBD2 plug to install the can plug that's provided. If you don't want to do that, you can order a plug in harness for Kaodtech for $55.00 like I did. Overall, I'm very pleased with this tune!!
